1.Press the button to switch it on. The screen will show 188.88 as the thermometer beeps to signal the initiation. 2.Following that, it is the last temperature you recorded, marked by the letter "M". 3.Then another temperature around 37℃, which is for calibration, appears shortly on the screen to check the normal working status of the thermometer. 4.Once the screen is showing "Lo"(it doesn't mean low battery but mean current ambient temperature is below 32℃), it means now it is ready for measurement.
